Satoshi NAKAZONO CV (Kitakyushu, Japan)
Satoshi Nakazono is the Chief
Executive of the Kitakyushu Institute of Environmental Sciences.
He was born in 1948, and graduated the Kumamoto University in 1970.
In 1970, he started his career in the Pollution Control Division
of the Environment Bureau of the City of Kitakyushu as an officer
in charge of ambient environment; in 1986, he became involved in
international cooperation. From 1992, he was engaged in ICLEI-related
activities and the integration of “Agenda 21 Kitakyushu” through
the participatory process as Director of the Environmental Conservation
Department. From 1996, he joined the member of the Kitakyushu Eco
Town project. From 1999-2002, he contributed to a number of international
conferences, including the UNESCAP 4th Ministerial Conference on
Environment and Development in Asia and the Pacific held in 2000
in Kitakyushu.
